LIMS features, module by module.

Twelve modules: six come with every plan and six are enabled according to the one you contract. This is what the system does today, not what it will do.

Or jump straight to what interests you:

Core · in every plan

The six modules that hold the operation up.

From the service order to the signed PDF. No Labsmatic plan is sold without them.

Sample management

An order groups all the samples you need, with a sequential folio, a client and an assigned analyst. The system supplies the folio and the client's location with its site. Everything that describes the sample is yours to define, with the fields your speciality uses: the system imposes none.

Configurable analyses

Result groups with unit and order, parameters within each group, minimum and maximum reference ranges plus the conclusion group. The screen where the analyst enters results builds itself from that configuration: add a parameter and it appears there, with no code involved.

Client management

A full history per client: every order, sample and report. Sensitive data is encrypted in the database.

PDF reports

The PDF is generated in the background, without blocking the interface, using the default template for the matching language. When a new version is issued, the previous one is kept: the report you delivered stays available exactly as it went out.

Chain of custody

Eight stages, each with who recorded it and when. The record is insert-only: it is never edited or deleted.

Dashboard

Total samples, pending and completed; recent orders with their status; and plan usage in three bars — samples this month, users and clients, each against its limit. It is the screen that shows you are nearing the cap before you hit it.

Configuration

You configure it, without writing a line of code.

The fields, the parameters, the units and the thresholds are defined by your team from the interface. Every change is versioned, with who made it and when.

  • You create your own fields in four places: the order, the sample, the result and the client.
  • Each field is one of seven types: text, number, date, single choice, multiple choice, yes/no or long text.
  • For each field you define whether it is required, what value it arrives prefilled with, in what position it appears and whether it is printed on the report.
  • On result fields you also define the reference range: values that fall outside are flagged on their own.
  • On sample fields you choose when they are filled in: when the sample is created, or when results are entered. That way whoever takes the sample in is not facing fields they cannot answer yet.
  • The result groups and their parameters are yours too, with their unit, their order and their conclusion group.
PDF reports

You design the report once, and it comes out on its own.

A visual template editor: sections you reorder by dragging, your brand colours and blocks that repeat per group or per sample. Live preview, without asking us for anything.

  • Reorderable sections, your own letterhead, logo, header and footer.
  • Main colour, group header colour, normal values and out-of-range values.
  • Repetition blocks: per field, per group or per sample.
  • One default template per language: the report comes out in the client's own, according to their record, with nobody having to choose.
  • The PDF is generated in the background: you can keep working while two hundred reports are issued.
  • When a new version is issued, the previous one is kept: the PDF your client received stays available exactly as it went out.
Dashboard

Your lab's status, at a glance.

The entry screen sums up the current month and tells you how much of your plan you have used. It is in all three plans, from day one.

  • Total samples, pending and completed, on the first screen.
  • Recent orders with their folio, their client and their status.
  • Plan usage in three bars: samples this month, users and clients, each against its limit.
  • Your plan usage: you see the cap approaching before you reach it, without anyone warning you.
Add-ons · by plan

The modules that switch on when you move up a plan.

Field work, signature and client updates come in with Professional. Governance and custom reporting, with Enterprise.

GPS geolocation Professional

Coordinates are captured during field collection. The filters decide which samples appear on the map: you can combine system fields with the ones your lab created and use operators such as “out of range” or “within range” to see only what crossed the threshold.

Digital signature Professional

Each user uploads their signature once. In automatic mode the signature of the reporting user is inserted; in manual mode, whichever the lab manager chooses.

Email notifications Professional

This is the module that enables email delivery: automatic when the report is issued, or manual from the order. Templates per event and per language, with system variables, an internal notice to the team and a global switch to stop every outgoing email without touching the templates.

Audit trail and roles Enterprise

Every creation, edit or deletion is recorded with its author, the date, the previous value and the new one. The list filters by user, by action, by entity or by date range. This module also enables custom roles: you start from the four base profiles and build the ones your team needs.

Custom dashboard Enterprise

On top of the base panel you build the indicators your lab looks at every day. You choose the entity — samples, orders or clients — the metric of count, sum or average, how it is grouped, the date range and the colour of each widget.

Custom reports Enterprise

Beyond the standard reports the system already ships, you define your own: entity, columns, grouping and summary cards with count, sum, average, minimum or maximum. Each report is saved so you can run it again.

Geolocation Professional

Where each sample was taken, on a map.

Coordinates are captured during field collection. The filters decide which samples are plotted on the map.

  • An interactive pin with the sample summary, its order and its location.
  • 10 operators to filter with, including “out of range” and “within range”: that way the map shows only the samples that crossed the threshold.
  • Filter by system fields and by the fields your lab created.
  • Locations per client, each with its own address and site.
Notifications Professional

Your client finds out on their own. So does your team.

Email templates per event and per language, with the system variables and your custom fields. The lab decides what goes out, and when.

  • Report delivery: automatic when it is issued, or manual from the order, whichever your lab decides.
  • The PDF that goes out is password-protected. If the encryption fails, the email does not leave.
  • One template for each sample stage, plus “report ready with attachment”, in each language.
  • System variables such as {{sample.folio}}, {{client.businessName}} and your custom fields.
  • An internal notice when every sample in an order reaches a given stage.
  • A global switch: stops every email to clients without touching the templates.
  • Announce that the report is ready without attaching the PDF, when it is released against payment.
Custom dashboard Enterprise

And if the base panel is not enough, you build your own.

On top of the indicators the system already ships, you build your own, with the metric and the breakdown your lab looks at every day.

  • Widgets for number, bars, doughnut, line or table, each with its colour.
  • Over samples, orders or clients, with count, sum or average metrics.
  • Grouping by status, client, month or week, over the date range you choose.
  • The widgets live alongside the base panel: they add to it, they do not replace it.
Custom reports Enterprise

And the reports nobody else asks for, too.

The standard ones come with every plan. With this module you define your own: what is queried, with which columns and how it is summarised.

  • You choose the entity — samples, orders or clients — and the columns you want to see.
  • Grouping and summary cards with count, sum, average, minimum or maximum.
  • Each report is saved so you can run it again whenever you need it.
  • Export to CSV, just like the standard reports.
Security

The controls, one by one.

This is what is implemented on the platform today. It is here to answer the vendor questionnaire from your IT or procurement team.
